"L'NEE's latest release is called, "Sleep When I Die," an appropriate title since one senses this girl would definitely choose the dance floor over her bed. L'NEE'S CD is a blend of urban R&B, Hip-Hop, and Reggaeton, all produced for loud playback to keep your hips shaking and feet moving. In "Dj Make Em Move," L'NEE sings her story in a clear and poppy style over a gritty and aggressive Reggaeton beat. For "Sleep When I Die," the album's title track, we get to hear her rhyming skills as she raps about her career over a stomping hip-hop instrumental. On "Chilly," L'NEE shows off her vocal talents, singing over a more reserved urban R&B rhythm (but one that is still very danceable). At times this CD reminds one of old TLC, as L'NEE likes to employ some 90's style sounds which she combines with her modern edge. Lisa Renee evolved into L’NEE by Bugsy influence in 2009 to perform and promote rock, diverse R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop music. L’NEE is a professional musicians and vocalist with years of experience in the finest early music groups (Temptations, Anita Baker and Aretha Franklin, Stephanie Mills and others).
Parliament Records has just released L’NEE’s CD – “SLEEP WHEN I DIE”. The album contains several versions of new but yet diverse songs including such as Wonda Woman, Your Caught Me and DJ Make Em Move that is extremely popular with the teens on Jango.
L”Nee played in Purlie as a child and “The Wiz” among other plays.
All songs are sung in English but can be sung like Shakira in Latin language.
Together with “L’NEE”, she has recorded 2 albums and one retro one on the way. In addition to L’NEE’s material, her repertoire includes both sacred and secular music ranging from positive inspirational messages like “Did You Forget Me” and Gregorian chants to love and drinking songs and dance grooves, including similar style to Alicia Keyes and Erykah Badu music’s of the Tamia and Neyo works by Timberland and Pharrel,Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Baby Face, Rich Harrison, Dr. Dre, and others.
